Making the voice of insurance Heard: ACA at the ESMA roundtable discussion

Le 25 mars 2025, l’ACA a eu le privilège de participer à une table ronde organisée par la Luxembourg On 25 March 2025, ACA had the privilege of participating in a roundtable hosted by the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, bringing together key financial associations from Luxembourg’s financial centre, in the presence of Verena Ross, Chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).

This high-level meeting offered an opportunity for in-depth discussions on major regulatory developments in Europe, with a focus on:

• Supervisory convergence within the EU;
• Simplification of the regulatory framework for market participants;
• Systemic risk monitoring, particularly around leverage;
• Enhancing retail investor access to financial products.

For ACA, this roundtable was a valuable opportunity to represent the interests of Luxembourg’s insurance and reinsurance sector, and to reaffirm the importance of regular dialogue between regulators and market stakeholders.
