ACA Innovation Award 2024

In a constantly evolving context, where upheavals are multiplying at a frantic pace, the insurance and reinsurance sector must adapt to various changes and continue to develop its competitiveness. Innovation emerges as one of the keys to meeting these challenges and seizing emerging opportunities. It is with this in mind that the ACA initiated the ACA Innovation Award, highlighting the crucial role of innovation within the insurance sector in Luxembourg.

We are delighted to present the 2024 edition of the ACA Innovation Award, a new format designed to make this event a true platform dedicated to innovation and the exploration of new practical and pragmatic solutions for insurance companies.

For this 5th edition, the ACA Innovation Award 2024 will take place on November 5, 2024, at LuxExpo, in the SIGMA space. This day will be punctuated by collaborative work sessions, innovative presentations, and networking opportunities with the main actors of our industry.

During this event, 6 selected startups will have the opportunity to collaborate with our members to propose a solution addressing a specific “use case.” These 6 teams will design solutions tailored to the sector’s needs during the event, presenting them to a jury of experts and an audience of professionals. A networking cocktail will close the event, allowing for continued exchanges in a convivial setting.

The winning startup will be offered the opportunity to collaborate with one or more jury member companies to develop a Proof of Concept (PoC), thereby bringing their innovative solution to fruition.

For this edition, the ACA and its members have identified 2 themes:

THE AUTOMATION AND DIGITALIZATION OF PROCESSES

Red Thread: Optimize operational efficiency through the automation and digitalization of processes to reduce manual procedures and improve the smoothness of operations.

Context: The observation among insurance companies is unanimous: there are too many manual processes that affect the efficiency of their actions. This observation is valid for both internal processes and external processes that affect relationships with third parties and partners.

THE OPTIMIZATION OF CUSTOMER RELATIONS

Red Thread: Enhance customer engagement by using technological solutions that meet new expectations, aiming for excellence.

Context: There are several ways to optimize this relationship (onboarding, communication, etc.), and new technologies are an obvious means to achieve this. However, it is essential to find solutions that are suitable for the sector and can be practically implemented, considering the constraints—particularly regulatory constraints.
